Ros stepped up to sailing keelboats in 2018--and has since tried every trick in the book to get rides, including walking the docks with beer, volunteering for non-profit organizations, joining crew lists and yes, racing. Ros is the 2022 Commodore at Island Yacht Club (iyc.org), where she helped produce the first virtual IYC Northern California Women’s Sailing Seminar in 2020. Island Yacht Club runs a year-round racing program from Alameda Marina, CA, as well as training and social events, both in-person and online.
