Entry fee: $30 IYC & US Sailing members, $35 everyone else. Entry includes a souvenir neck gaiter / buff!

In 2022, Island Yacht Club is honoring Linda Newland - our wonderful mentor and founder of our annual Women’s Sailing Seminar - by renaming our annual Sadie Hawkins event to the Linda Newland All-Women's Skipper Race. 

​You are warmly invited to join us for this uplifting Estuary race. Registration is now open to all boats with a skipper that identifies as female.

Join us for our Skipper’s Meeting - Thursday, Oct 20 - 1800 

In the 30th year of WSS, we are delighted to update our landmark race to focus on women empowering other women. We will be hosting a skipper’s meeting via Zoom on the evening of Thursday, October 20 at 6pm, to give both new and experienced women skippers the opportunity to share knowledge and have their questions answered. All racers - skippers, crew and interested women and girls - are welcome to attend.

When: 1530 ‘till finish

Following the race, everyone is welcome to celebrate women’s racing with us at Boathouse Alameda (2030 Clement Ave). Food and beverages will be available to purchase for racers, Race Committee and our allies.
