Michelle is a multi-lingual San Francisco Bay Area based nurse and mariner. When on land, she works in a local Intensive Care Unit as Critical Care Registered Nurse licensed through the California Board of Nursing and additionally credentialed as CCRN through the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. At sea, she holds a US Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Credential as Master 50 Gross Registered Tons Near Coastal with Auxiliary Sail and Towing Endorsements. She has close to 15,000NM of experience including ocean deliveries and racing. She is also an American Sailing Association certified sailing instructor through the first 5 levels of sailing instruction (101 103 104 105 118) providing ASA instruction at an award-winning school in Sausalito and is also available for private lessons, charter captaining and marine consultation worldwide. Michelle currently owns two boats in the San Francisco Bay Area, a 1981 Sparkman & Stephens Catalina 38 which she personally restored over a three-year period. She now owns her second Ranger 23, in which she is also undertaking a complete restoration. She is an active participant in the SF Bay yacht racing circuit and is currently one of the bowmen on a highly competitive and award-winning Santa Cruz 50. Comments are closed.
