Stay on Kennedy Street through the stop light; then it curves to the left, then it curves to the right and you’ll be suddenly on the Park Street bridge going onto the island of Alameda! Turn right at the second stop light, which is Clement. Go straight at the stop sign (Oak) and then about a mile down, Alameda Marina is on your right. Enter at Gate 7. Follow the “Island Yacht Club” signs, and you are here!
Navigating by Sea:
Enter the Oakland Estuary between Alameda and Oakland, marked on chart 18649 as “INNER HARBOR ENTRANCE CHANNEL”, then “INNER HARBOR REACH”, then “GROVE ST. PIER TO BROOKLYN BASIN”, then “SOUTH CHANNEL”. This run is approximately 4 NM from the marker FL G 5s 30 ft., 13M “5” horn at the channel entrance. Alameda Marina will be to your starboard side after the Grand Street boat launch ramp. The marina office is open 7 days a week and they do not monitor any VHF frequencies.
