On March 16th
Island Yacht Club hosted their annual Sadie Hawkins Day race in the Oakland
estuary.
This is a race that requires
that the skipper be a woman, in keeping with IYC’s sponsorship of the
Women’ Sailing Seminar and
the annual Jack and Jill race in the fall—a double-handed estuary
race also requiring a woman
skipper.
The weather Gods cooperated
nicely by providing a perfect blue sky, reasonable temps
and 15 to 20 kts of breeze
in the estuary for an afternoon of around the buoys.

two classes with the results below:
